Staying anonymous on OnlyFans: how to protect your face, name and home

The fear that family, employer or an ex-partner find the account keeps more women from starting than anything else. The good news: with a few rules the risk is small. The bad news: some of the most popular tips do nothing.

What really helps

Geoblocking. OnlyFans lets you block entire countries. Whoever blocks Germany is invisible to German users, including in search. This is the most effective protection and costs nothing. The downside: you lose German fans. For most of our creators that is fine, because 40 to 55 percent of fans come from the US anyway.

A separate identity. A stage name, a separate e-mail address, separate social media accounts that are nowhere connected to your real name. No follows from your private account, no identical profile pictures, no phone number link.

Removing metadata. Photos from the phone contain location, time and device. OnlyFans strips most of it, Instagram too, but not every platform. Delete the data before uploading, any photo app does it in seconds.

Checking backgrounds. A window with a recognisable view, a letter on the table, a glance over the shoulder into the mirror with the room behind it. Most exposures happen through the background, not through the face.

What helps less than you think

Covering the face. Works, but costs revenue. Accounts without a face earn noticeably less, because the chat runs worse without a face. Whoever wants to stay anonymous does better with geoblocking and a separate identity than with a covered face.

Watermarks. They do not prevent leaks, they only make leaks traceable. That is useful, but not protection.

"Nobody around me is on OnlyFans." Yes, they are. And those who are not will find the content on leak sites if it lands there.

When a leak happens

Content that shows up on other sites can be removed with a DMCA request. The big sites respond within days, Google removes the search results. What matters is noticing early: we monitor leak sites continuously and file the requests before the creator hears about it.

Taxes and anonymity

The tax office learns about your business, but under tax secrecy. The business registration runs under a neutral description. Nobody has to write "OnlyFans" into a register.

At Northfeed anonymity is part of the start: we set up geoblocking, a separate identity and leak monitoring on day one. The decision whether with or without face stays with you.
