With a mass DM you reach all fans at once. That sounds like the fastest way to revenue. Used right, it is. Used wrong, it makes sure fans stop opening your messages at all.
What a mass DM can do
It brings the new set to everyone who has not seen it yet. It brings back fans who have not bought anything for weeks. It announces what is coming this week. It is reach inside your own account.
What it cannot do
Sell like a one-on-one conversation. The same set sells via mass DM to two to five percent of fans. In a personal chat to twenty to thirty. The mass DM is the nudge, the close happens in the conversation.
The rules
Not more than once a day. Two mass DMs a day halve the open rate of the second. Three a day make fans mute you.
Never to everyone. Fans who just bought do not get the set offered again. Fans who are writing in the chat right now do not get a mass message in between. OnlyFans lets you build lists: by purchase behaviour, by activity, by subscription date. Use them.
Sound personal. No price list, no capital letters, no "OFFER TODAY ONLY". One sentence, as you would write it to a single fan. With a preview picture, with a price, without pressure.
At the right time. In the evening between 9 pm and 1 am in your fans' time zone. For US fans that means: at night in Germany. That is one of the reasons a chat team sends the messages, not you.
The message after the mass DM
Whoever replies to the mass DM gets a personal reaction within minutes. That is the moment the mass DM turns into a sale. A mass DM without someone answering the replies is half wasted.
What we measure
Open rate, purchase rate, unsubscribes after the message. If unsubscribes rise, the message was too frequent or too blunt. The dashboard shows it the next morning.
With us the chat team writes the mass DMs by lists, at the right time, and answers every reaction personally. You see what every message brought in.
